T-MOTOR is a Chinese propulsion manufacturer — the company states its head office is in Nanchang, Jiangxi, and that it was founded in 2009 — and its propellers, motors and ESCs are made in China. For US programs subject to NDAA covered-country flow-down requirements, which reach individual components, propellers included, that typically rules foreign-made parts like these out. Whether a specific part is permitted on a specific program depends on your contract's flow-downs, so confirm with your compliance team.
Why country of origin is the deciding factor
NDAA covered-country and flow-down requirements ban federal agencies from purchasing or operating UAS — and their components — from covered foreign entities, and they extend to federal grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. The practical problem: T-Motor sits on the propulsion side of the BOM
T-Motor is unusual among the brands on this list because it supplies the motor and the ESC as well as the propeller, so a platform designed around T-Motor propulsion has three line items to replace, not one. T-Motor's multirotor propellers are largely folding and fixed carbon-fiber parts for Group 2 and industrial platforms, in diameters that run well past the standard line. None of them is a referenced part in the Anvil line, so any Anvil size that matches a T-Motor part matches it nominally — same diameter, pitch and blade count — and fitment, including the hub, has to be confirmed.
