Our Story

Why We Started

The regulatory landscape shifted. Federal restrictions on foreign-made UAS components tightened. And suddenly, every US drone OEM faced the same question: where do compliant components come from?

We started Anvil because the honest answer was "almost nowhere." Domestic supply of NDAA-compliant propellers in the sizes US programs actually fly — with the traceability a defense buyer needs — remains thin. We're building that: one focused product, done right.

We're not claiming to have solved this yet. We're at the beginning — engineering the propellers, standing up domestic production, and qualifying with the first customers who need a drop-in domestic source.

Location Strategy

Why Nevada

Workforce

Northern Nevada offers access to precision manufacturing talent experienced in aerospace and defense production.

Proximity

Western US base with road, rail, and air access to defense customers and Nevada's active UAS test ranges.

Infrastructure

Logistics hub with rail, road, and air access for efficient distribution across the continental US.

Our Nevada manufacturing model is being purpose-built for domestic propeller molding — with per-unit traceability designed into every run.

How We Build

Domestic, Traceable Propeller Manufacturing

The plan is straightforward: domestic injection molding of the propeller line, with provenance and serialization designed in from the first run — so that every prop will carry the documentation a defense buyer needs. Here's how we're standing it up.

Domestic Injection Molding

Planned

Tooling for the six-size propeller line, using US-sourced resin and reinforcement — purpose-built for repeatable, high-volume runs.

Per-Unit Serialization

In Development

Each propeller serialized with lot/serial traceability in the spirit of MIL-STD-130 — so any prop can be traced back to its run.

Country-of-Origin Documentation

Planned

Material provenance and country-of-origin records for every lot, built to support NDAA / covered-country flow-down requirements.

Component Passport Data Pipeline

In Development

Full traceability from resin to delivered prop — lot/serial tracking, material provenance, and chain-of-custody records, designed in from the first run.

People

Team

Anvil is a founding-stage effort, drawing on backgrounds in aerospace, manufacturing, and defense technology. As we grow, we'll build out the team — if you want to help build a domestic propeller supply chain, reach out.
